Across cultures and through the deep memory of the Earth, dragons and serpents have long been honored as guardians of the sacred places - protectors of springs, rivers, wells and waterways, and keepers of the fertility and life-force of the land. They belong to an ancient language of the Earth: a language of water, stone, fire, blood and transformation.

The Dragon Path can be understood as an ancient landscape of this living mystery - a path connecting sacred places, mountains, waters, temples and hidden sanctuaries across the Pyrenean and Catalan landscape. In the research and work of Ani Williams, this landscape is explored as a Way of the Stars and Dragons, an ancient pilgrimage current whose memory reaches through the Pyrenees and into the sacred places of Catalonia. Here, the Dragon is not simply a creature of myth, but a symbol of the primordial intelligence of the Earth - the force that moves through the land, through water and through the human body itself. Empúries, on the Mediterranean coast near where we will gather in the north of Spain, forms part of this ancient landscape, with its temples and sacred remains connected in this work to Isis, Artemis, healing and the mysteries of the Divine Feminine.

Mary Magdalene is known to us through the biblical story as a woman who followed Jesus and was present at the most important moments of his life, death and resurrection. Yet behind the later interpretations of her story, another image has continued to emerge - Mary as a woman of spiritual authority, devotion, inner knowing and profound love. In early Christian and mystical traditions she appears as the Apostle to the Apostles, as a prophetess, and as the “pneumatic” Mary - the woman who has awakened to spirit and direct knowledge.

Within the Magdalene and Womb mysteries explored by Azra and Seren Bertrand, this deeper remembrance becomes connected with Sophia, the Holy Grail and the sacred Womb. The Womb is understood not only as a physical place, but as an inner sanctuary - a vessel of creation, intuition, transformation and love. The Grail, too, becomes more than an object or legend: it is the sacred vessel within us, the place where spirit and matter meet.

This is where the Dragon becomes more than a guardian of the land. The Dragon guards the threshold to the hidden treasure, while Mary Magdalene carries the remembrance of the sacred vessel. Earth and Womb. Water and Blood. Serpent and Rose. Dragon and Grail. The ancient wisdom of the Earth and the awakening of the human heart become two expressions of the same mystery.

For three days, in the north of Spain close to Empúries, we enter this landscape and allow these mysteries to become experiential. The ancient stones, the Mediterranean waters, the surrounding nature and the presence of Empúries become part of the field in which the Dragon Path, the Magdalene and the Grail can be felt rather than simply understood. Through movement, breath, voice and sound, through cacao, water, ritual and the opening of the heart and womb, the outer landscape becomes a mirror for an inner journey.

𓋹 We will spend time in nature and sacred landscapes, allowing the elements, trees, stones, mountains and waters to become our teachers.

𓋹 We will listen to the land rather than trying to control it - opening ourselves to the subtle language of Nature, intuition and embodied knowing.
