Visitors would undergo purification rites before sleeping in a designated sanctuary, hoping to receive visions from the gods that offered solutions to their ailments or life’s dilemmas. The practice, known as "incubation," was a cornerstone of Egyptian mysticism, blending medicine, spirituality, and psychology in a profound way.
